Douglas was the son of Mr. J. O’Neill of Lahore, India. He is incorrectly listed in the 1922 Roll of Service as having survived. He gained a Certificate in Engineering in 1914 and died in April 1918 leaving effects worth £136 3s to Minnie Reilly, a spinster.
