Sidney Coulter

2nd Lieutenant, 12th Battalion Manchester Regiment

Killed in action 25th August 1918, age 27.

Buried at Delville Wood.

Former student of textiles.

 

Sidney was born in 1891, son of Andrew, a linen manufacturer, and Helen Coulter, of Riga, Latvia, at Mitau, Russia. At age 20 in 1911 he registered as a student of a textiles and graduated in 1914. He served on the Western Front. A Sidney Paul Alexander Thomas Coulter is listed in probate records as having died on 25th August 1918 in France and left effects worth £122 12s 2d to the public trustee.
